Mickey Rourke 'The Wrestler'

Best Actress:

Anne Hathaway 'Rachel Getting Married'

Melissa Leo 'Frozen River'

Meryl Streep 'Doubt'

Angelina Jolie 'Changeling'

Kate Winslet 'The Reader'

(hard to say between these... both fantastic, and up next to Meryl.... tough gig. I still need to see that one!)

Best Supporting Actor:

Josh Brolin 'Milk'

Robert Downey Jr. 'Tropic Thunder'

Philip Seymour Hoffman 'Doubt'

Heath Ledger 'The Dark Knight' (i happen to know a few that vote... and i know how we all would vote.... sad to be Philip this year to be honest...)

Michael Shannon 'Revolutionary Road'

Best Supporting Actress:

Amy Adams 'Doubt'

Penelope Cruz 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona'

Viola Davis 'Doubt'

Taraji P. Henson 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'

Best Director:

Danny Boyle 'Slumdog Millionaire' (again, perhaps I am biased, but nevertheless...)

Best Animated Feature Film:

'Bolt'

'Kung Fu Panda'

'Wall-E' (though Kung Fu looked hilarious)

Best Adapted Screenplay:

'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'

'Doubt' (this is because i happen to know the play very well and love what they did with the film, though truth be told, it may not be enough for the big button or the dogs...)

'Frost/Nixon'

'The Reader'

'Slumdog Millionaire'

Best Original Screenplay:

'Frozen River'

'Happy-Go-Lucky'

'In Bruges'

'Milk'

'Wall-E'

The 81st Academy Awards take place on

February 22 at the Kodak Theatre* in Hollywood.
