Why does the taste of a penny remind you of loosing a tooth?

You would think that the taste of a penny would remind me of the time when I wanted to be like the strongest man guy or whoever and I tried to bite a penny and chipped my tooth... or the fact that I had copper fillings and the dirty reused sensation of that long lost tooth comes back everytime I try to suck the life out of a penny...no- it is probably something simple like... like how pickles remind me of my elementary school janitor... same thing really if you think about it...
