style in the white house...

for those who don't faithfully keep up on things: the joelle sitch.

and for those who missed it, not going to lie, this is serious cute.
the barack & beyonce-ness of it all...
and the breath-before-the-storm-ness of it.... pretty cute.

no. not the creepy dictator-ish chanting...

side note:
i have to admit, watching the inauguration yesterday
that i was seriously missing the city.
i miss pennsylvania ave and the high volume of people...

i do wish i could have been there, just a bit...
if not only to see aretha franklin go nuts with
the huge chrome bow dome that covered her head...
and the prayers.the prayers were fantastic.
i have known much better poet laureates in my day though...

at this point, i am nothing if not supportive of our new president.

change
was going to happen regardless.

lets be supportive until he gives us reason not to...

cause if anyone needs our prayer now, he does.

oh, and how yum was michelle's wardrobe yesterday?
boy did she get some fashion sense in a hurry...
this little gold number, i loved.

and the white ball gown up there... tasty.

note
: jackie kennedy and nancy reagan
both wore white inaugural gowns...fun fact...

"we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around ... when yellow will be mellow ... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right"

anyone else excited that racism is over?
