from a daddy's girl...

foto by meg
hey dad,
just want to know that i have a short list of favorite people...
and you are on it.
i love that you:
can make silly faces
love dogs, though can't keep them
love babies, especially your own..
cry watching sappy movies
(and watching the NCAA cut down the net)
love history and like to teach me...
won't take no for an answer when it comes to taking care of your family...
love my mother
make the best homemade ice cream of the yummy variety
have a devotion to golf and let me cuddle with you to watch
dance in the kitchen
drop everything and listen when i need it
whistle the same tune when you work
when you fix somethin you say, "that's not going anywhere!"
can always be found outside doing yard stuff on a Saturday
taught me to work
your favorite color is yellow
you love the scriptures and live them
sleep with your macworld magazine and sweat all things electronic
love James Taylor and listen to KJAZZ and talk radio regularly...
love me unconditionally
like to have fun
know how to work a grill
like mocha almond fudge ice cream
would always say, "be a winner" on my way out the door
love LOST, MASH, and foodnetwork
set the standard for a quality guy
make me smile :)
i sure love having the best dad.
sometimes i feel bad for not sharing,
but today is not one of those times...

  3. Dad cried. Then commented to me we have some great kids don't we? I said yes we do and he hugged me in proxy for you. Thanks for saying it Megs. And by the way you do have to share him, but only 5 other ways... I think it's doable.

  4. I'm from your past and you may not even know me, but I want to add my tribute to your dad - he (and your mom) helped my sister and her three boys SO MUCH during those years they lived next door. I want to say that I always noticed and felt grateful... Debbie Raymond, sis of Merilee
